This 2022 BMW X5 40i was not a standard car. Comprehensively upgraded with a Stage 2 performance tune and full Akrapovič exhaust system, it was a different proposition entirely from a stock X5.
The Stage 2 tune modified the B58 3.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine's ECU, increasing output substantially beyond the factory 340 bhp. Combined with the Akrapovič titanium exhaust, the result was significantly more aggressive throttle response, a deeper exhaust note, and a stronger mid-range pull — particularly between 2,500 and 5,000 rpm.
Visually, this X5 remained clean and stock in appearance — modifications were entirely performance-focused rather than cosmetic. The interior retained all factory luxury appointments: panoramic roof, Merino leather, Live Cockpit Professional, and Harman Kardon audio.
